Preview: Bristol Rovers (County Cup)

February 14, 2026

Cheltenham Town Women host Bristol Rovers at Kayte Lane on Sunday (2pm kick-off) in Group A of the Gloucestershire FA Women’s Senior Cup.

Tom Davies’ side are looking to return to winning ways after two consecutive away defeats against Oxford United and Lewes.

After winning against Tier Five opposition Gloucester City 3-2, the Robinesses sit joint top of Group A, with opponents Rovers also picking up all three points in a 3-2 win over Bristol City Under-21’s.

Cheltenham were drawn into a group with Gloucester City, Bristol Rovers and Bristol City Academy in Group A in the newly reformatted competition. The new format sees the top two sides in each group go straight to the final, with no semi-final involved.

This is a competition Cheltenham know well, after reaching the final of the tournament last season.

Despite the one tier difference, Nathan Hallett-Young’s side will prove a challenge on Sunday afternoon.

Currently sitting third in the FAWNL Division One South West, the Gas Girls are unbeaten in their last six games in all competitions, the run including a dominant 10-0 win over league rivals Worthing, as well as victories against Ascot United, Bournemouth Sports and Maidenhead United.

Tickets for the game are £6 for adults and £1 for U18s, with tickets available in advance HERE for home fans and here for away fans. Tickets are also available to buy on the gate.
