Cheltenham Town Women travel to The Dripping Pan to face Lewes Women this Sunday in the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division.
Despite suffering defeat away against Oxford United last time they were in action, the Robinesses have still won three of their last five games in all competitions and will be looking to pick up another crucial three points on Sunday.
If Tom Davies and his side were to do so, they’d equal the record for the most ever wins in Tier Three season, the record currently standing at seven.
Opponents Lewes are a side Cheltenham know well this season, having faced each other twice in two different competitions already.
A 2-1 win at Kayte Lane is one of six league wins the side have recorded in this campaign so far, but was shortly followed by a disappointing 4-0 loss in the Second Round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup just a few weeks later.
On top of this, the sides are separated by just goal difference, both sides on 19 points.
Emma Byrne’s side are unbeaten in their last two league games, picking up a point in a 1-1 draw with Exeter City last time out, a result that followed a 2-1 away win over Real Bedford.
