Cheltenham Town Women make the short trip to Oxford United on Sunday as focus shifts back to the FAWNL Southern Premier Division.
After picking up all three points against Gloucester City in the GFA Senior Cup last Sunday, the Robinesses are looking to make it two away wins on the spin in all competitions.
Goals from Louise Guymira and Bella Hall last weekend saw us win against local rivals in the first ever meeting between the two sides at the KMM Energy Stadium.
After winning against the U’s 1-0 at Kayte Lane earlier this season, thanks to Hall’s early goal, the sides now sit just one point and one league position away from each other, Oxford in fifth, Cheltenham in sixth.
This game is also an opportunity to potentially level the record for the most ever wins recorded in a Tier Three season, the record being seven.
However, Liam Gilbert’s side will come into this clash with plenty of confidence having secured their place in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup Fifth Round with a 3-1 win over Middlesbrough last weekend.
On top of this, the U’s have won all six of their last six-consecutive games, picking up league wins against the likes of Gwalia United, AFC Wimbledon and Lewes, and wins in the FA Cup which see them face.
Tickets for the game can be bought online in advance. Tickets are £8 for Adults, £4 for Over 65’s, £3 for U18’s, £2 for U13’s, and Under 7’s go free. Supporters can purchase their tickets HERE.
