Cheltenham Town Women make the short trip across the county to face Gloucester City at the KMM Energy Stadium (2pm kick-off) in Group A of the Gloucestershire FA Women’s Senior Cup.
The Robinesses are looking to return to winning ways after a disappointing loss to Real Bedford, with centre-back Casi Evans’ long-range strike not enough to pick up all three points at Kayte Lane in the opening game of 2026.
However, the side now turn their attention to the County Cup, a competition Tom Davies’ side have experienced success in, getting to the final of the competition last season.
Cheltenham have been drawn into a group with Gloucester, Bristol Rovers and Bristol CityAcademy in Group A of the newly reformatted competition. The new format of the competition sees the top two sides in each group go straight to the final, with no semi-final involved.
Although Chris Hill’s side sit in the relegation zone in the Shield Services Southwest Regional Women’s Football Premier Division (Tier Five), they will prove no easy task, coming into this game on the back of a two-game unbeaten streak.
Last weekend saw City pick up all three points in a strong 5-1 win against Bishops Lydeard AFC, a result which followed a 2-2 draw with Pucklechurch.
