Cheltenham Town Women end 2025 with a 4-0 win over Exeter City Women at Coach Road.

Goals from Una Lue and Bella Hall gifted the Robinesses all three points.

First Half:

Despite the game starting evenly, Charlotte Haynes made a big save to deny the onrushing Sophie Gillies from opening the scoring for the hosts early on.

Both keepers were called into action in the later minutes, but it was Cheltenham who opened the scoring on the 25-minute mark.

Lue latched on to Casi Evans’ through ball over the top, and made no mistake with nor the touch or the finish, beating keeper Olivia Giles with a powerful effort.

Hall then doubled the Robinesses lead, lobbing the onrushing Giles, and within the next minutes, Tom Davies’ side added a third.

Cheltenham thought they’d added a third through Lue, however, the referee deemed there to be a foul on the keeper in the build-up.

But Lue did grab her brace minutes later just before half-time.

Amelie Curtis won the ball back brilliantly high up the field, and passed the ball to Hall, who squared the ball across to the striker, who slotted away the third of the afternoon.

It ended 3-0 to Cheltenham at the break.

Second Half:

Exeter came out the blocks quickly as expected, but Cheltenham soaked up the pressure well.

Centre-back Ffion Llewellyn made a superb tackle to deny Exeter on the counterattack after Hall did well to win Cheltenham a corner.

The two strikers were proving a handful for the Grecians, and the away side nearly a had a fourth goal when Hall played in Lue.

Lue couldn’t get on the end of it but did get her well-deserved hattrick with just under 20 minutes left to go.

Just like her other two, she ran in behind, Salisbury-Williams finding her.

Again, she made no mistake, lobbing Giles to give the Robinesses a strong 4-0 advantage.

The game filtered out from there on in, and it ended 4-0 to Cheltenham in their final game of 2025.

The Robinesses host Real Bedford at Kayte Lane after Christmas and New Year.
