Cheltenham Town Fall To Defeat Away To Hashtag United

November 18, 2025

Cheltenham Town Women suffered a 1-0 loss away to Hashtag United, Honor Norton’s goal the difference between the two sides.

First Half

The Robinesses welcomed Anna Draper straight into the starting line-up in place of Amy Garrigan, with number one Charlotte Haynes serving the second of her two game ban.

The first half chance of the game was for Una Lue, after a ball played over the top by captain Emily Owen could have played the forward in, if not for a good tackle by the Hashtag defender.

Just before 20 minutes passed, debutant Draper was called into action, denying Norton’s powerful shot.

Louise Guymira was the next to go close. Guymira picked the ball up on the edge of the box, and with the outside of her boot, produced a great shot which was saved well by Frances Angel.

Hashtag’s Norton proved to be a potential threat throughout, firing narrowly wide from a distance.

Lue, on her first start since Watford, then produced a fine cross towards Libby Bell at the back post, but it was just over Bell.

Just before the break, Charlotte Salisbury-Williams tried her luck from the edge of the box with a volleyed effort that went over the bar.

Right on the edge of the half-time break, Draper was called upon once again, producing another good stop to deny Hashtag a half-time lead.

Second Half:

Just five minutes after the restart, Draper produced another fine save, this time, one-on-one with Samways and denied the forward with a great stop with her feet.

However, despite a few half-chances for Cheltenham, Hashtag took the lead through Norton.

Just before full-time, Lue had another shot at goal after a mistake from the Hashtag defence, but her effort curled just wide of the goal.

Attention for Tom Davies’ side now switches back to the Adobe Women’s FA Cup, with a big clash against Lewes FC at home.

Tickets for the encounter are still available for Cheltenham supporters HERE.
