Preview: Gwalia United

October 30, 2025

Cheltenham Town Women travel to Gwalia United to round out the month of October.

The midweek away trip will round what has been a successful month for Tom Davies’ side, with only one defeat.

That defeat came to a strong Plymouth Argyle side at home, however, victories over AFC Wimbledon, Southampton PGA and Millwall Lionesses put Cheltenham in a good place to finish the month.

The Thursday night game will see the return of our Welsh Under-19 trio, Amelie Curtis, Charlotte Salisbury-Williams and Casi Evans, the latter captaining her side in the second friendly against Switzerland.

Our opposition sit level on points with us heading into the game, with goal difference being the only margin.

They come into the fixture after a 4-0 victory over Winchester City Flyers in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup on Sunday.

Their previous league outing saw them face Lewes FC away from home, with Lewes beating Gwalia 4-0.

In between those fixtures, they also faced PGA opposition in the FA Women’s National League Cup, beating Tottenham in a 4-3 thriller.

For Cheltenham last season against Gwalia, it was a 2-2 draw at home early on in the season, before a 2-1 loss in the reverse fixture.

Una Lue made her return to action against Millwall on Sunday, and will also be back in the squad for Gwalia, a side she knows how to score against.

The 19-year-old scored in the 2-2 draw, and grabbed her first Cheltenham goals against the Welsh side in a 3-0 win in the first round of the FA Cup in November 2023.

Tickets for the game are available using the link here, and also available on the gate.
