Match Preview: AFC Wimbledon (A)

October 10, 2025

Cheltenham Town Women make the trip to the Capital on Sunday to face AFC Wimbledon at Imperial Fields (2 pm kick-off).

Coming into this game on the back of a 2-0 loss at home to Plymouth Argyle, Tom Davies’ side will look to bounce back and get more crucial points on the board.

Plymouth took the lead in the match just before half-time, before former Robiness Phoebie Poole added a second from the penalty spot in the second half.

Sunday’s opposition, AFC Wimbledon, will be full of confidence going into the game after picking up their first win of the season in the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier against Billericay Town in a 3-1 win last weekend.

The Dons scored two within a minute, with Ashlee Hincks opening the scoring in the third minute, and Emily Wallace grabbing her first for the club in the fourth.

Hincks added her second of the game in the 70th minute, before Billericay added a consolation goal in the 77th.

In last season’s meetings between the two teams, Wimbledon ran out 3-0 winners at Kayte Lane, but when Cheltenham visited Wimbledon, it was a brilliant performance to secure a 2-1 victory.

Tickets are £8 for adults, and free for Under-18s, and can be purchased HERE.

For supporters unable to attend Sunday’s game, updates will be provided on the club’s X (formerly Twitter) page as well as on Instagram.
