Second new addition of the summer confirmed ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

Cheltenham Town Women have confirmed their second signing of the summer with the addition of Louise Apuusi-Tchassem from Aston Villa.

The 18-year-old joins the Robinesses from Villa Under-21s, where she was a regular in the PGA WSL League and played a key role in their U21 2024/25 Plate Final victory, scoring two goals and earning the Player of the Match award.

On signing for Cheltenham, Apuusi-Tchassem said: “I’m excited, I’m ready for a new challenge and I can’t wait to meet the rest of the team and get started to be honest”

Having only played academy football, the forward can’t wait to get started in women’s football.

“I think it’ll definitely be tough, especially as women’s football is a lot more of a physical game than academy football but again, I’m excited for the challenge,” she said.

The Robinesses had a notable 24/25 season, reaching the final of both the FA Women’s National League Plate and the Gloucestershire FA Senior Women’s Cup, and securing an eight-placed finish in the FA WNL Southern Premier Division.

On this season’s aspirations, the 18-year-old claimed: “I think we can win the league, and I think we can get far in the FA Cup as well. It’s a team with a lot of capability, and I’m ready to play.”

She joins ex-Swansea City goalkeeper Charlotte Haynes as the other new addition to the squad
