Cheltenham Town Women are delighted to announce that former Leafield Athletic Assistant Manager Luke Beardsmore will join Tom Davies’ coaching team for the 2025/26 season.

Beardsmore expressed his delight in joining the Robinesses after their historic 2024/25 campaign.

“I’m really happy to be onboard at Cheltenham Town with Tom. I can’t wait to get going and try and get the most out of the players on and off the pitch.”

Beardsmore started working as a performance analyst for Stourbridge, working with both the Women’s and Men’s teams for a year.

Since December, Beardsmore has been assistant manager at Leafield Athletics Ladies, having initially joined the Tier Four side as a first team coach.

Beardsmore joins the club alongside Ryan Dempsey, who has also joined the Robinesses ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Manager Davies was delighted with both Dempsey and Beardsmore joining the club ahead of the new season.

“Having known both for a short while, I’m confident their skill sets not only complement each other, but also align perfectly with the club.

“They bring real balance and strength to the coaching and management team.

“They’ve already hit the ground running with off-season preparations, and I’m really looking forward to working closely with them on the pitch as we continue to build towards a successful new season.”

Cheltenham Town Women begin their pre-season preparations with fixtures against Cardiff City and Beardsmore’s former club, Leafield Athletic.
