PREVIEW: Lewes At Home

March 29, 2025

Cheltenham Town Women will be looking for a big three points in their final home game of the season when they take on Lewes at Kayte Lane on Sunday (2pm kick-off).

March has been a mixed month for Tom Davies’ side, with wins over AFC Wimbledon and Forest Green Rovers, the latter taking Cheltenham through to the Gloucestershire County Cup final, where they’ll take on Bristol City U21s on Tuesday April 15th.

However, two defeats in between against Hashtag United and Exeter City has left Cheltenham four points ahead of the relegation zone with two games to go.

A win against Lewes would guarantee the Robinesses’ FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division status for another season, and they’ll be looking to rectify the reverse fixture back in October, which saw a 3-0 defeat at the Dripping Pan.

Goals from Poppy Derhun and Olivia Carpenter sealed all three points for The Rooks, who currently sit in sixth place on 28 points.

Over the course of this record-breaking season, Cheltenham have won ten games and drawn two in all competitions at Kayte Lane this season.

After the visit of Lewes to Kayte Lane, Cheltenham have one game left in the WNL Southern Premier Division, and two massive showpiece finals. Before the County Cup final against Bristol City U21s, Cheltenham will take on WNL Division One South West champions AFC Bournemouth, on Sunday April 13, at Oxford City’s MGroup Stadium.

Tickets are £6 for adults, and £1 for Under 18s. Cheltenham supporters can purchase their tickets here via new Club partner, FanBase, or on the gate.
