As one of the leading Women’s Football clubs in the South-West, Cheltenham Town Women FC take our role in the community, and in particular our role in growing the female game very seriously.
In 2014, we were honoured to be awarded Gloucestershire Football Association Chartered Standard Club of the Year, having grown our player numbers by 300% over the prior five years. Our Club would continue to grow and develop over the next few years, being awarded the FA Women’s National League respect Award in 2018.
We continue to establish and strengthen links to the local community and use a variety of local training facilities, which have included Cheltenham Saracens FC, the University of Gloucestershire, Evesham United and more recently, Bishops Cleeve FC and Hartpury University.
As any Club, we are in the success business and have achieved two promotions and seven cup finals in the last eight seasons, including the FA WNL Plate Final in 2025. We have seen considerable growth in The Club’s following across social media as well as on Match Days, with fixture attendances nearly tripling between 2017 and 2025.
In the last couple of seasons we have continue to build on our links with local businesses, sports clubs and institutions in Cheltenham, Gloucester and the surrounding areas, and have been honoured to have seen an increase in the number of Match Day Mascots. This demonstrates our commitment, as a Club, to providing an exciting, fun, and most importantly, a family-friendly environment on a Match Day.
