Cheltenham Town Women return to league action hosting Swindon Town at Kayte Lane on Thursday evening (19.45pm kick-off)
After two consecutive away defeats to league rivals Portsmouth, the Robinesses are looking to bounce back to winning ways ahead of another crucial clash on Sunday.
Richard Wood’s Swindon side currently occupy the last relegation spot in the Southern Premier Division and are playing their first season back in the third tier after winning promotion from the Division One South West during the 2025/26 campaign.
Their only league win of this season so far came in a 4-2 win over strugglers Plymouth Argyle, whilst a goalless draw with AFC Wimbledon earlier this month saw them pick up another crucial point.
In the FAWNL Cup, wins against Tier Four sides Maidenhead United and Wycombe Wanderers saw them progress after finishing second in Group D. They will travel to league-rivals Hashtag United in the First Round.
As for Cheltenham, a win against Argyle, plus high-scoring draws against Hashtag and Exeter City see them one point above the visitors, in 10th position.
The Robinesses host Bristol City PGA in the First Round of the Cup at the EV Charger Points Stadium on Sunday after the side went unbeaten against Gwalia United, Worcester City and Kidderminster Harriers and finished top of Group C.
Last season, the two sides met each other in the League Cup at the Nigel Eady County Ground, Swindon winning 3-1, after goals from strikers Annie Colston and Libby Davies ruled out Bella Hall’s early opener.
Tickets are £7.50 for adults, £5 for Students (valid student ID required at the gate), £1 for Under-18s and £15 for a Family (2 Adults and up to 4 U18s), whilst Cheltenham Town FC Season Ticket holders and Robins Trust members all receive complimentary entry. Fans of both clubs can buy their tickets HERE.
