Cheltenham Town Women are back on the road this Sunday, and face Portsmouth at Fratton Park in the FAWNL Southern Premier Division.
A dominant 4-1 win against Plymouth Argyle saw the Robinesses pick up their first league win of the season last time out, with Tom Davies and his side looking to build on the result.
Cheltenham are unbeaten in three games in all competitions but know that Portsmouth will not be an easy task away from home, Jay Sadler’s side sitting fourth in the Southern Premier Division.
On top of this, Pompey are unbeaten in nine games, but have dropped points against the likes of Hashtag United and Lewes in the last two weeks, drawing 0-0 against both outfits.
In the League Cup, the hosts finished top of Group F after winning all three games, and will face league rivals Fulham in the next round. As for the FA Cup, the two sides will also face off next week at Fratton Park for a spot in the Second Round of the competition.
Like their opposition, Cheltenham finished top of their group in the FAWNL Cup, picking up two wins and a draw against Tier Four opposition, with the side set to host Bristol City PGA in the next round of the competition.
In the league, two draws against Hashtag and Exeter City, as well as last weekend’s win, see the Robinesses sat in 10th, one point ahead of Swindon Town, who occupy the last relegation spot.
Goals from Charlotte Salisbury-Williams, Chloe Snook and a brace from captain Emily Owen gifted Cheltenham the win against Argyle at Kayte Lane last Sunday.
