Cheltenham Town Women suffered a 3-0 defeat against Lewes Women at the Dripping Pan on Sunday afternoon.
Goals from Una Lue, Scarlett Kagalwala and Ella Stephens gifted the Rooks all three points.
Lily Felgate was called into action early doors, denying Una Lue from a header following an early corner.
Up the other end, Leo Joyce’s long-range effort was parried behind by Emily Moore in the Lewes net.
After a fairly quiet half, the hosts took a strong lead on the half an hour mark.
Despite calls for a foul the other way, the Rooks got the opener after they were awarded a penalty for a handball, with former Robiness Lue scoring from the spot.
It was two not long after, a defensive mix-up seeing Kagalwala’s cross roll into the back of the net.
It was almost three before the half-time break, Felgate full stretch to deny Paris Dalton from long-range.
It finished 2-0 to the hosts at the break.
Lewes were pressing for an early third in the second half, but Felgate was yet again called into action and got down well at her far post to deny Lue her second and a third for her side this afternoon.
The hosts dominated the second half, Lue and Olivia Carpenter having chances to add a third.
Carpenter rounded Felgate in net, but defender Shurima Vine was in the right place at the right time to clear the ball that was heading towards an empty net.
With just over 10 minutes left to go, Stephens added a third, meeting Lue’s ball into the area and steering home.
The Robinesses had a few half chances as the clock ticked toward the 90th-minute mark, however, none were taken and it finished 3-0 at full-time.
Cheltenham are on the road again next Sunday, facing Kidderminster Harriers in the final game of FAWNL Cup group stage.
