Cheltenham Town host Welsh outfit Gwalia United on Thursday evening in the FA Women’s National League Cup at Kayte Lane.
After two league defeats to tough opposition, Tom Davies and his side are looking to bounce back against the Tier Four side before making the trip to Oxford United on Sunday.
However, Gwalia are hunting an immediate return to Tier Three after relegation last season, and have picked up two wins from two, beating Ascot United 6-0 and Bournemouth Sports 1-0 last weekend.
This leaves the side currently sat second in the Division One South West on goal difference, Gwalia one of four sides who have won both games so far.
The Welsh outfit have had a busy window this summer, and have made eight new signings, including former Robiness Issy Newns.
Shurima Vine and Keira O’Keefe will also be playing against their former club, the Welsh Under-19 duo signing for Cheltenham this summer following their departures from Gwalia.
Cori Williams-Mills’ side are no strangers to Cheltenham, with both clashes between the two sides ending level last season.
A penalty from skipper Emily Owen was not enough to grab all three points in Cardiff, whilst goals from Georgia Galley and Indie Power at home were later ruled out by goals from Georgia Walters and O’Keefe at Kayte Lane.
Tickets are £7.50 for adults, £5 for Students (valid student ID required at the gate), £1 for Under-18s and £15 for a Family (2 Adults and up to 4 U18s), whilst Cheltenham Town FC Season Ticket holders and Robins Trust members all receive complimentary entry.
