Lilly Wellesley-Davies Re-Joins Cheltenham Town Women

August 10, 2026

Cheltenham Town Women are delighted to announce the return of Lilly Wellesley-Davies

The defender re-joins the club from Tier Four side QPR.

Last season, Wellesley-Davies featured 24 times in all competitions, including making 20 appearances in the FAWNL Division One South West for QPR, helping the R’s to a midtable finish.

The season before that, the 19-year-old made 26 appearances for the Robinesses, scoring one goal and registering one assist in her time at Kayte Lane.

The defender has also featured for Southampton Women FC and helped her side secure survival during the 2023/24 season in Tier Four, winning the young player of the season accolade in the process.

On re-joining the club, Wellesley-Davies said: “It’s amazing. From the minute I walked through the doors I was made to feel really welcome and at home straight away, and I think that speaks volumes.

“The girls create a really nice atmosphere and environment and it’s something I want to be a part of, especially with Mike (Harris, assistant manager) and Tom (Davies, manager) being back together it was a no brainer for me to come back,” Wellesley-Davies continued.

The teenager joins the likes of Chloe Jones, Leo Joyce and Chloe Snook in making the step up to Tier Three football from Tier Four sides, with the 2026/27 season kicking off on Sunday.

Welcome back to Cheltenham, Lilly!
