Cheltenham Town Women are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Ruby Day.
The 19-year-old joins the Robinesses following her departure from Bristol City.
Day leaves Bristol City after six years in the academy set up, where she regularly featured and captained the PGA side, and was named on the first-team bench for the FA Cup tie with Arsenal last season.
The teenager earned her first cap for Wales at 13 years of age, and has gone onto represent her country at Under-15, Under-16s, Under-17s and most recently Under-19 level.
Day joins fellow Welsh Under-19 Internationals Amelie Curtis, Casi Evans and Charlotte Salisbury-Williams, who have all stayed on following the individual and collective success of last season.
The teenager played all three Gloucestershire County Cup games for Bristol City PGA last season, and lead her Bristol City side out at the game at Kayte Lane in the final group stage game. On top of this, she started all four games in the FAWNL Cup and Plate.
On joining the team, Day said: “It feels really good, I’m excited. The girls and the staff have all been really welcoming so far, so I’m really excited to get on board.
“I’m hoping to bring a lot of excitement and creativity to the game, and also off the pitch be a good teammate.”
The teenager is Cheltenham’s first signing of the summer ahead of the 2026/27 campaign, which kicks off next month.
