Cheltenham Town Women secured Tier Three safety with a strong 5-0 win over Billericay Town in the final day of the season at The New Lodge Stadium.
A hat-trick from Bella Hall, as well as goals from Georgia Galley and Millie Pullen, secured all three points for the Robinesses.
First Half:
Cheltenham started strongly and went ahead in the game within the opening five minutes, Pullen’s ball into the box slotted home by top-scorer Hall.
From there on, Tom Davies’ side were looking for a second, but efforts from Casi Evans, Emily Owen and Ffion Llewellyn were all off target.
It was Hall who got the second, skipper Owen’s header saved by keeper Emily Mackler, but only into the path of Hall, who again made no mistake from close range.
It finished 2-0 to Cheltenham at the break.
Second Half:
The hosts kept Cheltenham at bay in the second half until later on, defender Elizabeth Santiago and keeper Mackler on hand to deny Cheltenham from getting a third.
However, with 15 minutes left on the clock, Hall did complete her hat-trick, her effort from the edge of the box nestling into the top left-hand corner.
It got better for the visitors, substitute Galley on hand to add a fourth, dinking Mackler from close range following Hall’s low-driven cross into the middle.
Pullen then scored her first goal for the club and her side’s fifth of the afternoon with a little over five minutes left to play, capitalising on an error made by the hosts and slotting into an empty net.
Not long after, it could’ve been six, Mackler on hand yet again to preserve the scoreline, before Owen was denied by the crossbar from long range.
Cheltenham: Draper; Bell (Norman 71), Llewellyn, Owen, Salisbury-Williams (Galley 60); Evans (Brittain 71), Jones (Arnott 60), Curtis (Newns 77); Trinci, Hall, Pullen
