Cheltenham Town Women return to league action away from home at Motspur Park against Fulham this Sunday afternoon (14.00 kick-off).
After two back-to-back wins in both the league and FAWNL Cup, the Robinesses are looking to make it three games on the bounce, but know that’ll be no easy task against a strong Fulham side.
The Cottagers currently sit second in their first season in Tier Three, and have recently recorded strong wins over the likes of Lewes, Hashtag United and AFC Bournemouth.
On top of this, they are through to the second round of both the FA and FAWNL Cup, following wins over Enfield Town and a win on penalties last weekend against league rivals Portsmouth.
Steve Jaye’s side are on a five-game winning streak in total, and haven’t drawn or lost a game since a shock 2-1 defeat at home against Exeter City last month.
As for Cheltenham, a dominant 5-1 win over Swindon Town midweek saw Tom Davies’ side leap to eighth, four points away from the relegation zone, whilst the penalty shoot-out win against Bristol City PGA saw us in the hat, alongside Sunday’s hosts, for the second round.
This is the first time these two sides have ever met, after Fulham won promotion from Tier Four last season.
For supporters unable to attend, live action updates on the club’s X account (formerly Twitter) as well as Instagram are available.
