Cheltenham Town Women are thrilled to announce the signing of goalkeeper Lily Felgate.
The teenage shot-stopper joins the club on an ADR (Academy Development Registration) from WSL side Birmingham City.
Felgate follows in the steps of fellow teammate Kaitlyn Hicks-Kenward in making a temporary switch to the Robinesses this summer, and was also a crucial part of last season’s Under-21s Plate win over Brighton and Hove Albion.
The goalkeeper joined Blues from Tier Three rivals Plymouth Argyle in August of last year, and has been a mainstay in goal for Birmingham City U21s this season.
In her time at Argyle, the teenager made 24 appearances in all competitions, with 19 of these caps coming at Tier Three level.
Playing all three of the FAWNL Cup Group Stage games, Felgate started in goal against the Robinesses in the second of the three group stage games in Group F.
On joining the team, Felgate said: “I’m really excited, looking forward to a new challenge, and I can’t wait to get started.
“I can bring my previous experience at Plymouth into my time here; I played near enough 20 games, and I know the environment and what this league is about.”
On winning the PGA title, the keeper claimed: “It was crazy, every game was a challenge, and I was just really excited to get the win, even after extra time.”
Welcome to Cheltenham, Lily!
