Cheltenham Town Add Striker Leonie Joyce To The Squad

August 4, 2026

Cheltenham Town Women are pleased to announce the signing of Leo Joyce.

The striker joins the club from Tier Four side Leafield Athletic.

Joyce scored a combined total of 16 goals in 27 games for both Leafield and Boldmere St Michaels last season at Tier Four level.

The striker netted nine times in 11 games in the second half of the season for Leafield after joining in January from league rivals Boldmere, and has also played for the likes of Sporting Khalsa and Stourbridge during her time as a player.

On the prospect of making the step up, Joyce told the Club’s media team: “I’m really excited; obviously Tier Three is a new experience for me, and I’m ready to get going, and hopefully we can kick on now.”

On her time previously at Tier Four level with Leafield, Joyce stated: “I found my love for the game again at Leafield, and I’m very grateful for that, and it’s brought me to where I am now. I’m hoping to bring goals and assists and just helping the girls by doing what I can.”

The striker joins Ruby Day, Shurima Vine, Evie Murphy and Indie Power as the fifth new addition to the side ahead of the 2026/27 season, which starts in the coming weeks.

Welcome to Cheltenham, Leo!
