Cheltenham Town Women make the trip to the capital to face Millwall Lionesses in the first round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup on Sunday (2pm).
Tom Davies’ side will be looking to make it three wins on the spin in all competitions after a 2-1 win at home to Southampton PGA last weekend, which followed a crucial 2-1 away win against AFC Wimbledon the week before.
Goals from Louise Guymira and Libby Bell were enough to see Cheltenham through to the last 16 of the FAWNL Cup for the first time in their history, with local rivals Swindon Town awaiting the Robinesses in the next round.
Last season’s historic run saw the Robinesses make the fourth round, beating the likes of Yeovil Town, Moneyfields and Norwich City.
As for Sunday’s opposition, they qualified for this season’s FA Cup in comfortable fashion, winning 6-0 against Chislehurst Glebe and 7-1 against league rivals Ashford.
These two games have been the start of their four-game winning streak, which sees them currently sat fifth in the London & South East Regional Women’s Premier Division (Tier Five).
Tickets will not be sold in advance for this fixture, supporters can pay at the turnstiles with both cash and card being accepted.
