The Venue, date and time for the FA Women’s National League Plate Final have been confirmed and announced by The FA.
This year’s Plate Final will take place at Oxford City’s Court Place Farm, on Sunday April 13 (2:00pm kick-off). With both teams making their Plate Final debuts, Cheltenham Town Women take of AFC Bournemouth Women in the Final – the first time the teams have met since March 2022.
Tickets for this fixture will be made available from Oxford City FC’s website in due course, supporters are encouraged to follow The Club on social media to avoid missing out on any announcements regarding ticket availability.
Cheltenham’s journey to the Final started in the First Round with a 4-1 victory over Boldmere St. Michaels. This was followed by two 2-1 wins, over Wolves Women and Stockport County Women respectively, before a tight 1-0 Semi-Final victory over Southampton Academy, which saw Carys Pugh-Jones save a 90th minute penalty.
The Cherries Women path to the Final started slightly earlier than The Robinesses’, as they faced Portishead Town in the Preliminary Round, a game they won 8-0. In the First Round against London Seaward, they were handed an Away Walkover, before defeating Worthing 5-2 in the Second Round. The Quarter-Final saw them come out on top in a 2-1 effort over Cambridge United before seeing off Manchester United Academy 3-2 to reach the last two.
