PREVIEW: Billericay Town Away

September 7, 2024

Cheltenham Town Women will be looking to bounce back from their first league defeat of the season as they make the trip to Billericay Town on Sunday (2pm Kick-off).

In their last FA Women’s National League Southern Premier outing a week ago, Tom Davies’ side lost 3-0 to AFC Wimbledon. An Ashlee Hincks brace followed by a late second half header by Kau’inohea Solomon-Taylor gave the Dons all three points at Kayte Lane.

Billericay have started well under new manager Adrian Parral, with a win over Gwalia United in the League, and AFC Sudbury in the WNL Cup, however they have fallen to narrow defeats against Watford and Hashtag United.

Last season, the Robinesses did the league double over Billericay, with a 1-0 win away in October 2023, with a goal from Phoebie Poole. In the reverse fixture at Kayte Lane back in March, The Robinesses came out 4-2 winners, with goals from Charlie Taylor, Phoebie Poole, Emily Owen and Emily Allen.

This continues a packed September schedule for the Robinesses as after their trip to Billericay, they make an away trip to Watford and home games against Hashtag United and Gwalia United.

The game is being played at New Lodge, Billericay, postcode CM12 9SA. Tickets are £5 for adults and £2 for Under 16s.

For supporters unable to attend, live-action updates will be provided on the Club’s X Account (formerly Twitter) as well as on Instagram.
