Preview: Plymouth Argyle (A)

March 15, 2026

Cheltenham Town travel South to take on Plymouth Argyle at Home Park (3pm kick-off) on Sunday.

Tom Davies and his side will face a team within the top three in the division for the third time in a row. The Robinesses have suffered defeats against first-placed Watford and third-placed AFC Bournemouth in recent weeks and now take on second-placed Argyle away from home in yet another tough clash.

Marie Hourihan’s side come into this game unbeaten in eight games in all competitions, including a run in the FAWNL Cup, which will see them take on league rivals Bournemouth in the final.

Three consecutive 2-0 wins in the league see them in contention for promotion, just one point off the Hornets in top spot.

When the sides met at Kayte Lane earlier this season, Argyle took all three points in a 2-0 win thanks to goals from Phoebie Poole and Charlotte Whitmore.

Although it’ll prove a tough task away from home, a win would see Cheltenham equal the highest number of wins ever recorded in a Tier Three season, the record set last season standing at seven.
