Cheltenham Town suffered a 6-0 defeat to promotion hunters AFC Bournemouth at Kayte Lane on Sunday.
Goals from Jenna Markham, Georgia Wilson, Katie James and Sophie Quirk gave Bournemouth all three points.
First Half:
Despite Cheltenham’s good start, AFC Bournemouth took the lead from a header, Markham rising highest, her looping header nestling into the right-hand corner of the net.
It was two just five minutes later, Wilson volleying home from James’ corner.
It was three before the half an hour mark, James’ shot from the edge of the box going all the way in.
The visitors added a fourth moments later, Quirk free on the outside the area to slot home.
Winger Quirk added a fifth on the 33-minute mark, rounding keeper Poppy Irvine, her effort into an empty net.
It finished 5-0 to the visitors at the break.
Second Half:
Em Owen had Cheltenham’s first shot of the game, her driven effort narrowly wide of the target.
Quirk got her hattrick just after the hour mark and made it six to Helen Bleazard’s side.
A much better second half saw it finish 6-0 to AFC Bournemouth.
