Cheltenham Town pick up point against Gwalia United

February 20, 2026

Cheltenham Town Women were held to a 2-2 draw against Gwalia United at Kayte Lane on Thursday evening.

Goals from Georgia Galley and Indie Power were ruled out by goals from Georgia Walters and Callie Jones.

First Half:

The game started cagey, but Cheltenham were the better side, and took the lead deservedly on the 15-minute mark.

Galley scored her first goal for the club since joining, Bella Hall slotting the ball through to the striker, who took a touch and made no mistake, finishing well into the bottom left-hand corner.

The Robinesses were not done there, and doubled their lead through Power, who also scored her first goal since joining Cheltenham.

The winger bared down on goal, beat her marker, before brilliantly curling the effort in from the edge of the box on the half an hour mark.

The half fizzled out from there on, and it finished 2-0 to the hosts at the break.

Second Half:

Gwalia got one goal back just after the hour mark, the experienced Walters pulling one back for the Welsh outfit.

Poppy Irvine was on hand to deny an equaliser not long later, Walters’ scuffed shot one on one into the arms of the thankful goalkeeper.

The away side did level with 15 minutes left to play, Jones equalising from a cross.

It all boiled over as time went on, Gwalia defender Amina Vine getting sent off on the bench after lunging at Amelie Curtis.

Power was so close to getting a brace and a winner for her side, her fizzed effort tipped round the post by Benedicte Haaland in additional time.

It ended 2-2 at full time.

Cheltenham make the trip to league-leaders Watford on Sunday.

Cheltenham: Irvine; Salisbury-Williams (Trinci 82), Norman, Llewellyn, Bell; Jones, Curtis, Brittain (Guymira 78); Galley, Hall, Power
