Cheltenham Town Women kick off 2026 at home against Real Bedford today.
Tom Davies’ side will welcome new loan signing Poppy Irvine straight into the matchday squad after her arrival from Birmingham City.
The young shot-stopper will take over the number one shirt for the remainder of the season.
Going into this game, Cheltenham sit fifth, level on points with today’s opposition, who sit a place higher.
With six wins before Christmas, Davies’ side are just one win away from equalling the club record of seven wins in a WNL season.
The reserve fixture was our first away game of the season, and saw the Robinesses bring home all three points with a 4-1 victory.
Top goalscorer Bella Hall opened her Cheltenham account in the game, with Amelie Curtis, Libby Bell and Louise Guymira scoring the others for the away side.
As for Bedford, since that defeat, Charlie Bill’s side have settled well into the league and challenged near the top, losing only to Lewes, Hashtag United and Plymouth since.
Top goalscorer Issy Byrant will be one to keep an eye on, with 9 goals across all competitions.
Kick off at Kayte Lane is at 2pm, with tickets available on the gate.
