Match Preview: Oxford United (H)

August 30, 2025

Cheltenham Town Women host Oxford United Women at Kayte Lane on Sunday (2pm kick-off).

After back-to-back wins against Worcester City and Real Bedford, in both the FA WNL Cup and league, Tom Davies and his side will be looking to make it three wins on the spin.

However, their opponents, Oxford United, are unbeaten this season in all competitions so far, after an opening day win at Gwalia United, a cup win against MK Dons, and a 1-1 draw last weekend with AFC Wimbledon.

Sam Rose’s side picked up all three points away in Gwalia thanks to a first-half strike from Holly Turner, three points in the cup against MK Dons in a 5-0 win, whilst a second-half goal from Adele Lindbaek was enough to earn a point at home against the Wombles last weekend.

The U’s are familiar faces for the Robinesses, who faced them twice in the league last season, finishing fifth in the Southern Premier League Division, whilst Cheltenham finished eighth.

The hosts will be looking to rectify the misfortunes against their opponent, losing 3-0 away and 2-1 at home against the U’s in the 2024/25 campaign.

Last time out, goals from Pheobie Poole and Jaime Gotch ruled out Libby Bell’s early strike to give Rose’s side all three points at Kayte Lane.

Tickets are £6 for adults, and £1 for Under 18s. Cheltenham supporters can purchase their tickets in advance HERE, whilst visiting Oxford United fans can purchase their tickets in advance here.
