Cheltenham Town Women have announced the signing of versatile defender and midfielder Casi Evans.
The 18-year-old joins the club from both Blackburn Rovers and Halifax Town Women, where she was dual-signed last season.
Evans has represented Wales at Under 15, 16, 17 and at Under-19 level, and revealed her excitement on linking up with Tom Davies’ side ahead of the 25/26 campaign.
“I am really excited to have joined Cheltenham and have been really made to feel welcome by both the staff and players. I’d like to establish myself within the squad and team and aim to play as many minutes as possible during the season”, Evans said.
“There are some really good players at the club, and I see this as an opportunity to learn from them and develop my personal game and push the club forward.”
The Robinesses had a stellar 2024/25 campaign, reaching the finals of the Gloucestershire FA Senior Women’s Cup and the FA Women’s National League Plate, alongside finishing eighth in the FA WNL Southern Premier Division.
On this, Evans stated: “Following the success on the field last season, naturally we would like to continue and progress and aim possibly at a higher league position and a good cup run would also be a target.”
She joins ex-Swansea City goalkeeper Charlotte Haynes, as well as former Aston Villa academy forward Louise Apuusi-Tchassem and fellow Welsh Under-19 international Charlotte Salisbury-Williams as the other new additions to the squad.
