Cheltenham Town Women will be looking to bounce back as they travel to AFC Wimbledon on Sunday (2pm kickoff).
The game was originally scheduled to take place on January 5th, but was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
The fixture starts off a run of away league games, with the only home encounters during March being Gloucestershire FA County Cup semi-final, and their final league home match of the season.
After this weekend, Cheltenham travel to Hashtag United and Exeter City, with the County Cup semi-final against Forest Green Rovers in between. The Robinesses finish the month of March with the visit of Lewes to Kayte Lane.
AFC Wimbledon currently sit seventh in the FA Women’s National League on 23 points. They go into the fixture off the back of a 2-1 defeat to Exeter City last weekend.
The Dons went behind after five minutes, but Ashlee Hincks brought one back for Wimbledon just before half time. Sophie Gillies scored in the 51st minute to secure the three points for Exeter.
Tom Davies’ side faced Watford last time out, and despite a spirited second half display, came out on the wrong end of a 2-1 scoreline, with Anais Trinci halving the deficit to the Golden Girls in the 66th minute.
This leaves Cheltenham in ninth place, three points clear of Billericay Town who occupy the final relegation spot, with five games remaining.
In the reverse fixture back in September, Wimbledon beat Cheltenham 3-0 with a brace from Hincks and a goal from Kau’Inohea Taylor.
Tickets for the game are available to purchase from AFC Wimbledon, HERE. Adult tickets are £7, whilst under 18’s get in free.
The game is being played at Raynes Park Vale FC, SW20 9DZ.
